Crisis Intervention/Reporting Abuse

One of the services provided by the Tuscarawas County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities is crisis intervention for individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities.  In order to provide this service, an on-call system is utilized.  Due to issues with the previous system, the board will be utilizing a different system effective May 22, 2007Please provide this information to anyone within your organization who may need to utilize the board’s on-call system.

 The on-call system should be used after normal working hours, and on holidays and weekends.  During normal working hours (weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), please call 330.339.9770.  

 To access the on-call system

1.     Dial 330-339-2000.  (This is the general number for the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Department.)

2.     Tell the dispatcher that you need to send a page to the on-call worker for the Tuscarawas County Board of MRDD.  Give the dispatcher the telephone number where you can be reached and be sure to include the area code.  In turn, the dispatcher will send the page to the county board on-call person who will return your call once that worker has received the page through the Sheriff’s system.  You should receive a return call within 30 minutes.

 In the event that you do not receive a return call within 30 minutes, the following numbers are being provided as back up contact numbers for the on-call system:
